How to Teach Foreign Children Chinese Culture?

Children, Chinese or American, or from any other foreign country, are all eager to learn anything that may interest them. Therefore, as long as you can understand what the children need and how to communicate with them, it is not so mysterious to teach foreign children Chinese culture. I would like to recommend the following method:

Firstly, you should understand these foreign children’s culture, such as who are the heroes to these children, what characteristics are the favorite to these children. Then you can choose the similar heroes in China and their stories to teach these foreign children. For example, to some children from the US, you can first tell them the story of George Washington’s cutting cherry tree, and then tell them the story of Kongrong’s Pear story. They will surely be fascinated by this kind of teaching.

Secondly, children are more inclined to pictures rather than words. So show them stories in Chinese culture in cartoons or pictures, even by video is better. Children may not understand what you say, but they will just remember the stories in the Chinese culture much better than you can expect.

Lastly, let them play the roles in Chinese culture. Put them in the play, they will forget they are learning Chinese culture or whatever. They will just give you a best performance. In this way, is it still difficult for the foreign children to learn Chinese culture?
