可以这么说~~

不能这么说呀没有信就是no letter，那当然就应该是 There was no letter this morning.

好像可以这么用，在L.G. Alex 的Longman English Grammar中有这样的例句：
Operations were difficult in the 18th century. In those days there were no anaesthetics.

另外，在虚拟语气中可以这么用：

语法上来说不是应该是There is no letter么？

语法上no 后面是没有复数，但是口语常常听到有s的，因为他们自己说话也没有注意那么多语法。所以不是那么正式的话句子是正确的

letter在这里应该是不可数名词. 所以不可以There were no letters.
