My phone was out of order.不等于my phone doesn't work.
意思是相近的，但是时态不一样。也许现在My phone is in good condition. out of 在...外 缺乏, 放弃 丧失 离开, 脱离 out of order 不在状态 放在在本句的意思就是电话坏了. out of order: 意思是：次序颠倒, 不整齐, 状态不好； 无次序的(混乱的,有毛病的,出故障的) 可以用于机器出故障，不能使用，或者是东西的摆放比较混乱时使用。 These books are out of the order. 这些书都乱了。 The clock is out of the order and wake me up at 3 this morning.
