1.eat your word，吃了你的话，可不是把单词吃掉哦，是收回某人刚说过的话的意思。通常是用在当你说错了话，或者对某事妄下断语之后，要收回刚说过的话时。
2.erase someone，擦掉某人，意即把某人从记忆中擦掉，忘掉某人。
3.Face the music，面对音乐，但是却不是享受音乐的那种美妙感觉，而是不得不接受惩罚、承担后果。这句话源于剧场，演员经常会由于紧张或怯场而造成忘词等尴尬的局面，只要音乐一响，演员就没有任何选择的余地，只能去face the music（必须承受出现的局面）。所以对于演员来说，音乐响起时，只能“硬着头皮上”了！所以也就是“不得不承担、不得不面对”。
4.fair-weather friends，字典里对fair-weather的解释为只能同安乐不能共患难的，其实在我们中国有“酒肉朋友”一说，我觉得满恰当的。

eat one's word(s), 承认说错了话。在例句中是收回自己说过的话的意思。但基本上用得多的还是“食言”的意思，与break one's promise/word通用。 例句：Never trust Tom, he is a man that/who always eats his word. 例句是偶自己造的，不敢保证没有语法错误，大家看看意思就行。 You can erase someone from your mind.
