表示“从什么时间开始”时，常用from，比如：
She studied English from the age of three．
但是我在新东方背诵80篇中发现一个句子：
People are engaged in education from infancy on.
请问这里from ... on和from有什么区别吗?在什么情况下要加on？
另外from可以用于表示从将来的某一时间开始么？比如从下一周开始是from next week么？

from...on是一習語,其意思是: starting at the specified time and continuing for an indefinite period (從所述的時間開始而延續的期間未定).
例如:
1.From now on you can work on your own.你從現在起可以獨立工作了.
2.From then on she knew she would win.她從那時起就知道自己會得勝.
3.He never spoke to her again from that day on.他從那天之后就再也不和她說話了.
from可以表示將來的時間.
例如: I am on holiday from 30 June.我從6月30日開始休假.
比如有这样的例句：I'll be on holiday from August 1. (這種用法不對)
此類句子,一般都是用一般現在詞表示將來.

from……on最典型的例子就是from now on=starting now and continuing into the future 也就是说只要是指从某段时间到将来的某一不确定的时间段之内的话就可以用on 可以表示将来的时间 比如有这样的例句：I'll be on holiday from August 1. 从八月一号开始我就要休假了 换成since会不会更好一点呢。。。 from ... on有从那时起一直的意味 from只是单纯地指从什么时候（到什么时候） |
