先看2个句子:
1 He's got to think that he's the best player out there(高中英语课本). 这里的out there可以翻译成"在外面", "在球场上". out 在这里起到强调、修饰作用, 如果少了out, 就体现不出气氛来了; 2 在比如在x-file（X档案）里, 有The truth is out there. 这里可以翻译成: 事实就摆在眼前/真相就在那儿(摆着). 3 你问的句子里, out there 可根据后面的in the market place来翻译, 纤维在市场上'已经'有售了. there与in the market place互为'同位语', 都指的是市场. 用out可以指出当时说话者的心情, 惊讶神态等等, 起强调作用. 其实从句首, you know what(你知道吗?), 就已经反映出说话者描述时他的内心/表情变化啦, out与之形成呼应. 4 was not out there 也同理, 市场上(尚)未有售. 多看例句, 用心体会 小弟拙见 |
