同意上楼的说法,
我补充一点,with /in surprise 一般用来做状语.如Rose looked at her mother in (或with) surprise.而这里的把with surprise 插入做状语不合适,to one 's surprise是使人吃惊的意思.即他们发现使他们吃惊的是....

提问者对于答案的评价：谢谢哦，多方了解，to one's surprise 在句中可作独立的状语，句子主语可以是人也可以是物；with suprise的主语只能是人，而且一般不能作插入语。

surprisingly一般用来修饰形容词,如surprisingly large
with surprise 没见过有这样的组合,麦克米伦高阶英汉双解词典和习语词典上都查不到.
to their surprise 在这句话中使插入语

They做主语，found做谓语，that从句做宾语,to their surprise在此处做插入语。A.surprisingly 令人惊讶地，一般前置修饰形容词，用于此处不恰当；B要放在句末
