then age 72 的问题， 参看全句: 1997. Former President George H. W. Bush, then aged 72, parachutes from a plane over the Arizona desert. 句子的谓语是parachutes, then aged 72是作为补语修饰形容主语， 没有必要再加上was 了。

你分析得没错 但偶的看法是基于Former President George H. W. Bush, then age 72, parachutes.......而不是 then aged 72. 当然偶也知道加上was语法上是错的

举个简单的例子吧 He was aged 72. 偶的意思是如果用 aged 修饰年龄的话 那需要动词来支持它 而这里米有动词出现 所以偶认为是age
